Liberty is also known as the National Council for Civil Liberties. Founded in 1934, we are a cross party, non-party membership organisation at the heart of the movement for fundamental rights and freedoms in the UK.

Liberty campaigns to protect basic rights and freedoms through the courts, in Parliament and in the wider community. We do this through a combination of public campaigning, test case litigation, parliamentary work, policy analysis and the provision of free advice and information.

The aim of Martin House is to provide family led care for children with life-limiting conditions. It is a place where children, young people and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help.

Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is a worldwide movement. We are owned and run by our staff, past and present. Collectively, they make sure that MSF stays true to its mission and principles. We have helped millions of people since MSF was established in 1971. The movement has grown and we now work in over 60 countries around the world, with teams ready for any new emergency.

The Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation (P.D.M.R.O.) was formed in 1964 following the death during the bad winter of 1963 of two climbers in Chew Valley, and a multiple fatal accident during the 1964 Four Inns Walk. Prior to then there were few mountain rescue teams in the Peak District. These were uncoordinated and inadequately equipped.

The two tragedies demonstrated the need for coordination of the few teams that did exist and the need to establish others. The P.D.M.R.O. was established to co-ordinate the activities of all the Mountain Rescue Teams in the Peak District and thus assist the Police with all mountain rescue incidents.

Together with our partners, we protect threatened birds and wildlife so our towns, coast and countryside will teem with life once again. We also play a leading role in a worldwide partnership of nature conservation organisations.

Our expert advisers give free, confidential advice 365 days a year, helping with everything from mortgage arrears to finding a place to sleep.

YHA is a charity with a clear mission, to inspire all, especially young people, to broaden their horizons gaining knowledge and independence through new experiences of adventure and discovery. Breaks for Kids is a charitable fund that YHA operates to help children from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, when they take part in a school or community group break away.

Breaks for Kids supports children to take part in a short YHA hostel break giving them life-enhancing experiences through adventurous educational stays that they would be excluded from without the support provided.
