by 22nd July 2013Quality Assurance

On Monday 20th May and Tuesday 21st May, Europoint Communications, in conjunction with BCS Nottingham and Derby and the BCS Quality Special Interest Group hosted a two day seminar on Lean Quality Assurance.
The course was presented by Tom Gilb, the progenitor of the Evo Project Management methodology and acknowledged as the father of agile processes.
Over the two days, the students learned how to introduce and run quality inspections, rigorously apply quantification to requirements, implement the defect prevention process, and how to radically reduce the number of defects in the end product by applying Evo principles.
It was a hard learning curve for many, but a number of attendees have said that they intend to apply the principles as soon as possible in their companies.
